Sneaker Pimps - 6 Underground

I can see a potential theme of posting great tracks featuring hot women... watch this space.

Ben Harper ft. Vanessa Paradis - Waiting on an Angel

The looks that these two exchange during this fantastic duet are kinda weird, but nonetheless it's a very nice twist on a Ben Harper classic.

LL Cool J - I'm Bad

Straight Outta 1987, LL was bad! How dope is the bassline, too.

Opeth - To Bid You Farewell

10 out of 10 for this epic Opeth masterpiece.

Suffocation - Pierced From Within

Live @ Wacken or somewhere. Suffocation just fucking wail. Can you imagine them playing the Gaelic Club in Sydney? That's where I took the photos at the top and bottom of this page.

Alice In Chains - Would?

From the album "Dirt" - This track epitomises the grunge movement.

Wu Tang Clan - Ice Cream

Ice Cream - track 15 from memory - off the critically acclaimed (better yet, me acclaimed) 1995 release "Only Built For Cuban Linx". If you ask me, Wu Tang pretty much owned the 2nd half of the 90s as far as MC'n and production.

Wu Tang Clan - Wu Gambinos

Full-on classic from Raekwon's ill debut "Only Built 4 Cuban Linx"

The Mountain Goats - This Year

I just really like this track about an unfortunate yet optimistic teenager, and it's great to see it performed unplugged.

Sepultura - Orgasmatron (Motorhead cover)

Also at Donington 94, this song is in my top 5. The lyrics are epic.

I am the one, Orgasmatron, the outstretched grasping hand
My image is of agony, my servants rape the land
Obsequious and arrogant, clandestine and vain
Two thousand years of misery, of torture in my name
Hypocrisy made paramount, paranoia the law
My name is called religion, sadistic, sacred whore.

I twist the truth, I rule the world, my crown is called deceit
I am the emperor of lies, you grovel at my feet
I rob you and I slaughter you, your downfall is my gain
And still you play the sycophant and revel in you pain
And all my promises are lies, all my love is hate
I am the politician, and I decide your fate

I march before a martyred world, an army for the fight
I speak of great heroic days, of victory and might
I hold a banner drenched in blood, I urge you to be brave
I lead you to your destiny, I lead you to your grave
Your bones will build my palaces, your eyes will stud my crown
For I am Mars, the god of war, and I will cut you down.

Pantera - Fucking Hostile (Live @ Donington 94)

Nothing really needs to be said about this track.

Tom Waits - San Diego Serenade

About time for some Waits up in this piece.

Alice In Chains - Don't Follow

Layne Staley tribute.. RIP

Arnie's best

Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentation of their women.

Mastodon - Oblivion

A band that's rough around the edges, but Brent (left on your screen) has one of the most unique voices I have heard in a long time.

Alice In Chains - Love Hate Love

One of the best tunes off "Facelift". Layne was in his heyday.

Biggie ft. 2Pac - Runnin (Dying To Live) (Uncensored)

I grew up a fuckin' screw up. Got introduced to the game, got a ounce and fuckin' blew up.

Nick Cave - The Ship Song

Great ballad.

The Roots - The Seed 2.0

Make it fonky.

Bolt Thrower - For Victory

1994 was a great year for metal. This is the title track from "For Victory", straight up Brutal Death Metal from UK kings Bolt Thrower. Easily in my top 10.

Brutal Truth - Choice Of A New Generation

This blog has gone on for too long without some Brutal Truth. In 94 they released an album called "Need To Control". This is my favourite track off that album, and favourite grind song ever.

A Perfect Circle - 3 Libras

One of several killer tunes by APC, pretty spun out clip as well.

Serj Tankian - Gate 21

Taken from the album "Elect The Dead Symphony" - which is more of a concept album than a straight-forward release. It was my favourite album of 2010.

Serj Tankian - Elect The Dead

Another song from "Elect the Dead Symphony", Serj's album he recorded live with the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra.

Slayer - War Ensemble

Opening track from 1990's "Seasons In The Abyss"

Slayer - Mandatory Suicide

Massacre on the front line! Live at Download Festival 2007, and the track is off "South Of Heaven" from 1988.

Sepultura - Policia

Brazil's finest touring on the back of their crushing album Chaos AD. This song is a Titas cover performed live at Donnington in 1994. I wouldn't say this was when Sepultura were in their prime, but pretty close to it. I love most of what was released with the original lineup - Max Cavalera on vocals, Igor Cavalera on drums, Andreas Kisser on lead guitar and Paulo Jr on bass.

The Faceless - An Autopsy

Here's the second one.

Suicide Silence - No Pity For A Coward

There are two deathcore tracks I wanna put up, so I can move onto other types of metal. So here's the first one.
